i'm sorry. i was just curious about the symbolism for the green fedora hat that anansi always wore and (at the last part) he passed on to fat charlie. help, anyone? thanks so much.
i thought the hat and the gloves and stuff were just examples of anansi's impeccable style and smoothness etc...whereas the passing the hat thing is symbolic of fathers passing on their mantle (as it where) to their sons, and an acknowledgment of fat charlie's personal growth through the course of the story...at least, that's my opinion
