I am slow Eek in coming to Neil Gaiman's work, but a book club meeting of mutual book lovers where we discussed Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, put me onto Gaiman, the graphic novelist. My curiosity was piqued and when the NYTimes named Anansi Boys as Best Seller last fall, I fell for the purchase. Holiday preparations, etc. intervened in my best-laid book reading plans, but I finally unearthed my sacred copy and read. What a delight! Smile I think I am going to have to make more purchases, more reads of Gaiman creations.

Thanks for a marvelous tale and super characters. They will be with me for a long time, joining with those glorious folk figures from Joel Chandler Harris, Zora Neale Hurston, Toni Morrison, Alice Walker. Once sampled, such fantastic fun is just a relief, especially in this modern world.

I shall never look at a Fedora the same way again!

Oh! and Lenworth Henry as the on-tape reader? Excellent! Cool May have to make that purchase to enjoy the read all over again.

Thank you! Big Grin

And what's this about Beowulf? This ol' retiree, Brit. Lit. high school teacher in Texas would love to know more.

Singing your praises! Wink
