There was a rerun (I think it was a rerun) last night of Anthony Hopkins on Conan O'Brien and he mentioned that he's done "that thing with Zemeckis" among others (he was promoting Proof in fact). First thought was, "yey, that's Beowulf". Second thought was, why is saying it's a movie by Zemeckis? It's a movie by Neil and Zemeckis is marginally involved with it. And then I remembered that everyone's world does not revolve around Neil. Anyway, it was nice to hear it mentioned.

Neil and Avary wrote the screenplay, but Zemeckis is the one who's directing it. The whole motion-capture (dammit, is that what it's called? I know it's not stop motion, but I can't remember...anyway) is Zemeckis' baby.

But yeah, I would like to hear more people give Neil his due. Maybe when Stardust is closer to being finished...

Yeah, I know Zemeckis is directing it and that the director is usually considered the most important person on a movie, still in my mind the fact that Neil wrote it registers first and then as a side note, I remember there's also a director...

Yes, someone posted a link to an article recently somewhere on the boards. I'm not familiar with that book, will have to look it up sometime.
