I love you Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeefffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff.
*cough* But I'm still moving this to Neil's Other Works _____________________________________________________________ Don't you realize? The next time you see sky, it'll be over another town. The next time you take a test, it'll be in some other school. Our parents, they want the best of stuff for us. But right now, they got to do what's right for them. Because it's their time. Their time! Up there! Down here, it's our time. It's our time down here. That's all over the second we ride up Troy's bucket. - Goonies |

Ah, you beat me to it, Jeff.
They are nice, aren't they? A few look kinda grainy but I'm hoping that's just because it isn't the finished product. ____________________________________________________________________ "Patriotism is defined as the last resort of a scoundrel. Darn.. All pictures seem to have been removed, and I can't even find any on the site that's linked from IMDB... What gives?

Looks like they asked AICN to take them down. It was all concept art for the "Art of Beowulf" book, according to Neil's blog, and he sounded amused that the online pictures were better than the ones he'd been provided with.

Weird that they'd remove the concept art. Oh well.. I'll just have to wait for the movie. :-)

The trailer's been all over the place, I've seen it many times at the cinema. I found it on youtube here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6MNIjRi6a0 The cgi doesn't bother me, I think it looks just fine. The thing that I really don't like about it is that they gave Angelina an accent. What is the purpose of that? She had the same accent in Alexander and it sounds so fake it makes me cringe. I'm not a fan of Angelina but I don't dislike her either. I like some of the things she's done, others not. |

I'm all excited about this movie and think the trailers look great. I've been reading forums where people are already condemning Beowulf because of a week story. How could they possibly now? Neil has blogged several times about how the trailers for Stardust showed the movie to be something else entirely.
I'm a lover of animation and I'm hoping Beowulf will be the start of more and more adult (mature)oriented animated films. ~*~*~*~*~ "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience." (Pierre Teilhard de Chardin) |

The trailer is posted on Neil's blog. I have to say that I am slightly disappointed in this film. I'm sure that Neil wrote a great screenplay, but after watching several trailers, I am concerned about a few things.
Firstly, why did they feel the need to animate the live action characters? Why not make it a cartoon and get it over with? I think that live action acting would enrich the film greatly instead of the half real -half animated thing they have going on now... it just looks fake. Secondly, why does Beowulf keep shouting "I AM BEOWULF!" It seems like they are trying to do Beowulf meets the 300. He's Beowulf, yes, but not King Leonidas. I think it's cheesy, and I think they could have done better. Finally, it just doesn't feel like the poem/story. Beowulf is very different than this film. It is a epic tale of hero vs. villain, but they are making into some kind of X-treme action flick meant to pump up the already pumped male ego. Maybe that's just me, but I love Beowulf, and this film is very disappointing to me. Other thought? Reactions? |

I thought the exact same thing when I saw the trailer. Beowulf meets the 300! I will still go see it though, but only because Neil is attached to it.
