I love them. The use of the phrase "beyond the fields we know," the concept of bringing a magical being back from beyond the limin, an act which would destroy said being's magic...

And yet Stardust turns out differently. It certainly doesn't invalidate the feminist message of the other work, but rather Stardust gives its protagonist rather more sensitivity than his predecessor.

Makes me happy.
