Hey Gang,
Anyone else notice repeated comparisons of Stardust movie to the Princess Bride? Im off to see it tomorrow, and I plan to make an informed statement as to the similarities on my blog then, but I've now posted on pre-viewing similarities. I wondered if Gaiman had heard of this comparison, and if so, what he thinks of it, as I haven't picked up a comment in any reviews or articles of late. blog is: www.barbaraimele.blogspot.com Ta for now! |

Well, there is the "boy off to seek his fortune to win the hand of his lady" aspect.
And the pirate crew he joins. And the evil prince. That's it, though. |

neil blogging about the princess bride connections
and welcome to the board both of you ~ You are an Accomptant. You keep track of the King's accounts, which is a fairly simplish job: his current holdings is always A LOT, and his expected revenue is always MORE. 'Sgood ta be da King. As long as there isn't a peasant uprising, you're likely to keep your head. Also, you're the only one in the office who knows how to use an abbacus. (Or multiply.) (Or add.) I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not. |
