I understand that I'm new here, so it doesn't make much difference, but I did see the forum/site before the update and everything looks much better. Although the dark color scheme of the old site (black background and such) is easier on the eyes, like 'pkitty' said in his/her first response, it looks very professional now.

I like the old one better also, but I think the new one has potential if he: changes the backround to black, changes the picture and ....well you get the idea.

Hmmm... I don't think I'm real worried about running into Neil out here in Cow Pie. Though, rumor has it Grisham has been to the Green Valley Book Fair (gvbookfair.com). I SAW Malachy McCourt when he was there. I might drive to DC or Richmond if I knew he was going to be in one of those places. I only travel great distances for AC/DC.

If you look under the FAQs and then click Ask Neil you can still ask him questions.

The email site comments seems to go to some Harper Collins person.

*laughing*

My first reaction to the new page was "Look! We've moved into suburban tract housing. With beige carpeting."

Just like where I grew up Razz

It left me wondering if the website designer ever read a Gaiman book or ever met or talked to Neil.

Unfortunately, my latest biblio revision didn't get posted, so the one that's up has some typos and doesn't have the end of 2005 in it.
The webmistress who was working on the site (As well as other Harpers stuff) was a lovely lady named Kelly who left Harpers for a better paying job at the end of last year. Thank Kelly, she did lots of work on it (she sent me a link to the beta as far back as September, maybe earlier). They haven't found a permanant replacement yet to my knowledge (when they do, I'll pounce on them with the latest version of the biblio, which is kind of mean as it's a 40 page document :P).

Wow, I come across like a hermit. Ah, well.

*retreats into his cave and looks nervously at the passersby*

I like it well enough.

Oooooo, does this mean I get to have minions and stuff? Ogres guarding the cave?

The search function for the site seems to work quite well, incidentally.

I don't know about ogres nor their going rates, but I am quite adept at minionry.

This appears to have been written at the exact time I was emailing them that the search function doesn't work right - it doesn't search the journal/journal archives yet

The site reminds me of like...oh I don't know, a site that would be used for one of those sophisticated clothing stores for career women...

The other site was purdy.

When I met Neil, I smiled a lot...then he drew two little pictures in my Coraline and Mr.Punch.

I haven't spent enough time going through the new site but it's definitely lost it's atmosphere. I don't like that part. It's looking sterile.
