you're welcome!

I picked up the album myself this afternoon (7 quid at HMV, I was in to get Eddie Izzard MMVI for 15 pounds).

Hee. I still can't get over the video.

Had I known, I could have greeted Neil at the airport yesterday! Wonder what he's doing until Sept. 25th?

If I see him in Copenhagen, I'll be sure to greet from you guys.

If anyone wants to know about the Maid Cafe, I found this on wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maid_cafe

These girls are basically cosplaying, so if your a big anime fan you know what that means. I am surprised Neil won't know about what the Japanese find sexy. Espically since he has worked on anime translations before. Oh subtitled animes can be quite dirty.
I wonder what would happen if Neil met Furries.

Did anyone else hearing Neil's new story think skunk, and/or turkeys ?
Seriously if he sends a fictional dog againist the devil and/or evil characters I am sending him a frying pan. Fiction or not I would fight the evil, not the animal.
Just some late weird night thoughts.

i totally agree with how Neil answered the person who questioned why he or she hasn't become a famous author yet. i think a true writer writes because he or she is compelled to write for him or herself. it's not about the opinions of other people, although it's wonderful to have your work read and appreciated. it's about having an idea that haunts you and possesses you so much that you have to put it into words. it's waking up in the middle of the night and reaching for something to jot down the poem or short story or concept for a novel that came to you in your dreams. it's loving the process of expressing yourself creatively through your writing with a passion that exceeds almost anything else in your life. it's knowing that engaging in the art of writing will be something you do for your entire life...until you take your last breath.

I want Neil's panda!

Or at least: I want a baby panda on my lap for a few minutes, too... oh, the gorgeousness of it.

Teller's in Macbeth? *must go read the journal*

I adore Penn & Teller (hubby is a magician) We saw them years ago in Atlantic City just before Halloween - I got to be part of the act (I shuffled cards very badly, they went flying everywhere) so I got Penn's handkerchief, which I later got autographed and bloody handprinted - they were covered in fake blood at the end of the show - and there's an imprint on Teller's "little houdini" although you can't really tell what it is anymore, it now looks like a blob.

ETA: oooh, when the blog reminds you of the board - he discussed petfinder.com and talked about llamas! Big Grin

Happy blog birthday!
Is he awesome or is he awesome? His surprise gift to us for the anniversary of his blog is to "give" us one of his books as he says "free, gratis and for nothing" for a month!

Oh I am insanely jealous of all the honey lurking in Neil's garage. I'm also vaguely tempted to start up a hive, but I've had that thought before. Smile
