Um, can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? The little New PM envelope thing has been blinking for days now, yet I haven't received any during that time.

What can I do to make it go away (and to stop checking compulsively every time I log in, just in case it really is telling the truth this time)?

have you looked at all your PM's?

it may not be the top one that the new message is on....

i had that the other day.

edit : and i've also found you actually have to open the thread to make the blinking notification go away, you can't just go to your PM page and ignore it...

I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not.

trolls are like pigeons..keep feeding them and they keep coming back and shitting in your street.

Oh, hmm, it is gone now. But I really thought I'd clicked (in desperation) on all of the (very few) PM's I hadn't deleted yet - several times even. Weird...

Anyway, thanks for helping me switch off the disappointment-inducing hypnotic little flickery thing. Big Grin
