(I was just surprised htey were all religious, when the term is now so widely used. But then it's a fairly old dictionary - 1996)

ETA: I just realised all this sounds like I'm looking for a guideline on how to get at people without getting sanctioned. It's actually more that knowing the boundaries helps so I don't come too close but can still be clear if I object to someone's behaviour or posts.

I understand what you're trying to say, and the general guidelines that JP handed down, and the definitions that Amy gave are the best guides I can give you.

That's not to say that you can't ask and answer every question JP's post mentions, believe you're in the right and, in fact, be very wrong. That would mean that you're either so ill-mannered that you can't control your own speech or, as has been the case in some cases, there's a language problem at play.

Thanks. I work best with practical examples and in the end I did get some answers to that, so it's fine.
Thanks for answering.

Also, I guess I've realised that there's plenty of possibilities to be angry and even extremely insulting without resorting to flames. So it's not really necessary.

No problem, BtB. If you ever have a question, I'll have an answer. It might be either wrong or a guess, but it'll be an answer. Wink

Jeremy, just saw this. You seem to forget that Dweller is a Fundamentalist, and really, he's never behaved like that. You might want to revise your generalization.

Yes, I know that Dweller is a Fundamentalist, although I'd never call him typical. Wink Granted, it is a generalization, and one that I will avoid in the future.

Hmm, must find a new more accurate term for that.
