Neil said once in an article that he feared that comic's would go the same path as poetry. That one day people would no longer have interest in the art form.

I think it's wonderful that this form gives a nod to poetry. I also really liked that you had a contest.

Neil pointed out that poets now pretty much only write for other poets. Main stream is not much of an option any more.

Giving poets a chance to share their work on this form was a very thoughtful idea.

Yes, I write -- an old lady though. Poetry has been something that I've done (not well) since I was young. Novel writing is now my passion. Tuned in here because our host had an interesting letter he sent out to NaNoWriMo - that's a group of folks writing 50,000 words in a month. An interesting fellow, very generous with encouragement for those who haven't written novel-length before. Was glad to see I could access the excerpts today. But back to writing. M

I LOVE writing anything and everything--short stories, novellas, graphic novels/comic books, abstracts, and, yes, poetry. Mostly it's about nature's wonders, but lately it's been taking turns towards soul-searching stuff....Maybe I'll get bold and post a bit of it...
