1. his own characters
2. historical characters
3. other people's characters

Since Neil kinda mentioned it in his blog and this is the only thread for Sydneysiders... are you going to see Sherman Alexie tommorow? He's heaps good

As I was sitting right at the front so I had to look behind to see everyone asking their questions. I remember you asking the question, and Neil's answer about the trouble historical characters can sometimes be.

Never before heard of Sherman Alexie.
Might have to start to read Neil's blog.
Should mention, in case any one missed the pamphlets, that the local release for the Neverwhere DVD is 8 June.

He's kinda a literary celeb in the States.
He was heaps funny, and I got him to sign my ticket stub.
Also saw a poetry slam featuring some people i knew from the local poetry scene, including a girl who recognized me from the Neil talk and John Banville's talk on Samuel Beckett.
I woke up too late to see some other stuff. If i'm up early enough tommorow i'll see the panel on music.

I love the Writer's Festival. Got me my last job when i gave my resume to a random i met...
