As mentioned in Neil's blog, he'll be at the Pen World Voices Festival in New York City some time at the end of April.

Anyone else going? As it happens, I'm going to be in NYC with Miss Xiner doing an entirely unrelated Twin Peaks marathon. If Neil's in town, I kinda feel obligated to go Razz

Anyone else? Meet-ups maybe?

Twin Peaks Marathon with Neil intermission sounds good. What is this festival anyways? They seem to be really into freedom.

We're not looking for money, just your undying support...so thank you.

Well, I signed up to get the emails. Hopefully, they will tell us when to glom on down to their thing.

I don't want llama money, though. I heard she eats catsup packets for snacks, that can't be good...

So, does anyone find it odd that their festival is, like, barely a month away and they don't have a SCHEDULE? As someone who plans and executes conferences, I'm a bit worried for them.

They're going to secret themselves out of attendees.

Except for Neil.

There's sure to be at least 1200 people.

He's more popular than Santa Claus here.

Oh the agony! I'm so close to New York too.. I wish I could attend yet for some reason the City hates me. My last venture there for a concert ended not on a really good note (as it had looked like) but with a towed car and a night spent at the impound lot. We got home at nearly 4 in the morning. Considering I had work that day and had been up since 8am.. I was not the happiest person.

Perhaps Neil could be pursuaded to an event in Philadelphia? Less traffic you know.. loads more parking.. very friendly people there you know.

Hiya - haven't posted (or lurked) in ages, but, spring is in the air, so I may try to come out of hibernation soon.

I managed to buy 2 tickets to the 4/25 Town Hall event last night, but whenever I click on the Ticketmaster links for the 4/26 events, it just links to the Ticketmaster main page. I keep clicking on it every couple of hours - not sure if it means that the event is already sold out, or they just haven't started selling them yet.

Xine and I will be at the Town Hall one, possibly with bells on.

We're trying to decide which of the other three (!!???!!!) we want to go to. We're leaning towards The Moth. We figure if we each have 3 glasses of wine, we'll get our money's worth Razz

I'm definitely trying for the Moth one - aside from the alcohol, it has John Hodgman. I was at that FIT event where he introduced & interviewed Neil, and they were great together.
