I'm new to this board, and I hope I'm posting in the right place.

Neil was in Portland tonight on his Anansi Boys tour and I was lucky enough to be able to see him (we had good seats too, thanks to getting there two hours before the start time), and to have him sign my book.

I'm sure no one here will be surprised to hear that on top of being talented, brilliant and smoking hot, Neil is also incredibly nice and absolutely charming in person.

I'm thrilled for him that Anansi Boys is such a hit. It's not my favorite NG novel -- that would be Neverwhere, one of my all-time favorite books -- but I did enjoy it and it's nice to know I'm not the only one!

If you get the chance to see him, go! If you enjoyed Anansi Boys when you read it yourself, you'll *love* hearing Neil read from it. The funny bits are even funnier when he reads them.

Neil's reading is fantastic. When he was recently in Australia he read different parts of Anansi Boys at different book signings. He said it was to test the audience response in preparation for the book tour.
Unfortunately no Anansi Boys book signings in Australia.
