He's doing a signing Saturday, June 4th. Too bad he won't be participating in the panel the day before with Brad Meltzer and Frank Miller, along with Harvey Pekar and Adrian Tomine. But he'll be there! (And I'll get an Anansi Boys chapbook and (maybe!) a copy of Mirrormask! Yay!

Link to PDF of all authors signing that weekend.

and I know you want to pick up lots of spare copies of the chapbook for your peers, especially the ones who asked first

I will do my best to get a chapbook for you. You're first on the list...but obviously I can't make any promises as I don't even know if there will be a limit on what you can take...last year was my first time at a BEA and I saw a lot of people doing nothing but going around collecting ARCs.

Anyone else? Line up, no promises, but I will do my best. Smile

This may be silly...but what's a chapbook?

And why do I want one so badly?

General definition: seems like a cheap, quick publishing method of folding paper in half and stapling. Neil had Snow, Glass, Apples, Shoggoth's Old Peculiar, and On Cats & Dogs published as chapbooks.

In this case, just a preview of Anansi Boys, which you only need if you're really impatient, or if you're a freaky completist collector like me.

(Preview of Anansi Boys here)

Hiya -- it looks like I'll be able to get a badge for BEA this year, so maybe I can help Ravenina with the snagging of extra chapbooks. <waves hello to Ravenina>
