I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not.

trolls are like pigeons..keep feeding them and they keep coming back and shitting in your street.

The 20th PAC, which opened on Wednesday, runs until Saturday.

‘World’s coolest’

Neil Gaiman, the much-celebrated author of the “Sandman” graphic novel series and “Stardust,” opened the second day of the congress with a speech on “Imagination and Creativity in the Contemporary World.”

Gaiman praised the wealth and originality of Filipino folklore, which he described as “the coolest folklore in the world.”

He encouraged Filipino writers not to be afraid to explore their talents, and to just “write and finish it.”

On the usefulness of advertising, Gaiman said: “Advertising is incredibly useful when well done.”

Inquirer exhibits Cannes Lions’ best creative minds

Neil's Philippine moments just ended with so much unforgettable joys.... missed him if you were not in Philistines.

just sayin

Stardust (Fantasy, 120 minutes) Starring Charlie Cox, Claire Danes, Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sienna Miller, Peter O'Toole. Directed by Matthew Vaughn. Released by Paramount Pictures.

From the book by Neil Gaiman comes an entertaining epic fantasy about a fallen star (in the form of a beautiful girl, played by Danes) being chased by an innocent villager (Cox), a brethren of princes, and a wicked old witch (Pfeiffer), each with their own agenda.

The film sets itself slightly apart from the likes in the genre released recently with its cheeky sense of humor that would appeal to adults as well. It's a fun thing all around, with fun performances especially by Pfeiffer and De Niro. ***
