I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not.

when's spring due?.

Forbidden Planet, at 1 until 2 (but the bloke behind the counter said they expected him to be there longer than the hour. They were also willing to get the book signed for me if I couldn't make it (as if!)

*is nearly crying with disappointment because he's not coming to southampton and i don't think i can go to ANY of the dates*

I'm so disappointed. i'm really really upset and i can't THINK why he wouldn't come here. How awful. i've been wanting to meet him, and see him read and stuff since the first time i picked up a sandman book, and now i discover that i just own't be able to.

i'm so upset.

i need hugs.

it is approximately, but you wouldn't know it from the train fares or the amount of time it takes to get there. also i don't know if i can have time off, and i rather think that i won't be able to. i'll find out today though.

ok. so i found out at work today that i don't have to work saturday's after the 19th of september. which means that i CAN go and see neil. And Mark has offered a floor or sofa (or whatever) to crash on, and the only thing i have to do is find the money for the train fare...

He's also doing Ottakars in MK, which I was planning on doing (and asking him to sign the Amazing Travelling Quotable Sandman) but maybe I should go to London too. It's just that I think I will have more luck up here as the queue will be shorter.

Well, we plan on going early in the morning...or, very early to when the signing will start. And bringing picnics too!

According to my sources, there's a signing in Manchester which is near (ish) to my uni. Unfortunately it's at 7 PM on Nov 10th so unless I can find a fellow Gaiman geek with a car in my circle of aquaintences I won't be going.
