Okay, just to keep everything in order here...here's a thread for posting photos, retelling the stories of things that happened at the con, etc.

Too tired to post anything substantial tonight, really, but i will say this: everyone was, in person, exactly as they are on the board. The strangest part about meeting everyone is that it wasn't nearly as awkward as i expected it would be (and this from someone who's incredibly self-conscious). It felt rather natural. It was wonderful to have flowing, back-and-forth, give-and-take conversations without the aid, however useful it is in our more intellectual discussions, of a quote function.

Will post pictures when they're uploaded and suchforth (Fluffyllama, do you still want copies of ALL the photos taken there?).

I'll try to obtain the photos Lauren took. Right now, I'm at home, thinking I just had the most wonderful dream and then realizing, no, it all actually did happen Big Grin

When I was in my layover in Atlanta, I kept looking at all the people walking by, briefly wondering why no one would hug me.

The cool thing about FG was that odds were, one in 20 people was a Boardian, and they were more than willing to hug me.

And the elevator game. I LOVED the elevator game. That was so cool. You'd never know who was behind the doors! Then, poof!

Yeah, that was fun. Even though the elevator was often full, you could still wave to all the people you knew. Smile

I loved that one time the whole elevator was full of Boarders at our most raucous, and then the that one older guy walked in who had nothing to do with Fiddler's . . . poor guy must have been so confused and wondering who the hell all these crazy people were.

Hi everyone!! It was so nice to meet you all. You are all so nice and cool. It reminded me that I need to post here more often. (Seriously, you're all way cooler than the people at my other board. Shhh, don't tell them I said that.)

Sorry I was so anti-social. I was sick and gross, especially on Saturday. And then I was really stoned on cold medicine.

Anyway. I don't have any fancy-pantsy digital cameras or anything. But as soon as I get my disposable camera developed I will go tangle with the library scanner and post my fotos. With an f.

I was summarizing my weekend to a friend and part of my summary was "And I kept seeing people I knew from the intarweb and they would say hey Renata and then we'd laugh because... nevermind."

Anyway, I hope everyone had safe trips home, and I did have a great time. You guys rock. (Especially GMZoe, for, er, "encouraging" me to talk to Neil Smile) So thank you all for making my first con experience an awesome one.

My camera is, I believe, currently on an America West plane. I am sad.

Now I need other posters to provide me with the pictures that I have lost. I am requesting the following pictures:

Reaction shots of GMZoe during the auction
The cake
All costumes at the Masquerade
Any shots of me as Jill Thompson's Slave Boy

That's what's so sad, I COULD have been there. I had the time and I had the money. I dunno what I was thinking. :-/
