Just got back from The Lagoon theatre, wheer mumsy and I saw Phantom of the Opera. Advice: avoid. But the Lagoon is a nice arthouse theatre, and we're going back tomorrow to see Finding Neverland.

On the way back, we passed Dreamhaven and BL Bowl, and...I admit it...I got a little squealy.

I hope everyone's pre-christmas preparations aren't too stressful. My mom introduced me to Kowalski's, where we got mulled spices and I am now sipping on hot spiced cider fresh from the crock pot. Its's the best holiday-stress remedy ever.

“Chives?”
“Yes, m’lud?”
“Is that Ms Ephemera hovering over the croquet lawn?”
“Indeed m’lud. She’s marshalled all the haggle-dans. Missy-twigs and vale-nymphs from Claypole Woods. Apparently she intends to tear this house down and dance on the ruins.”
“Well, Chives, you’d better start the car, what? And pack my tennis things too”

Kowalski's eh?
We may have crossed paths if it was the 54th and Lyndale one (but I think I would have noticed the two redheads).
Okay, I have tix for Santaland Diaries reserved
for:
Alaura
Mum Sharon
Annallama
Ivan
Danyellia
Beezer (heh)
Askani'son

Anyone else in or out?
Wheeeee........

I awoke this morning to see a white Minneapolitan Christmas and was all "that'll do, Llama and Beezer. That'll do."

I was mostly OK with it, but the guy playing the Phantom was awful. Just awful. So were the managers. Christine was good, though, and I really liked the opening with the wind blowing all the cobwebs out of the opera house while the chandelier was being raised.

I saw "Phantom" on stage at the Orpheum - or was it the State? The one on the west side of Hennepin - and what was hysterically funny was that they do the big dramatic raising-of-the-chandelier, and when it gets to the ceiling, it was next to the theater's real chandelier, which was about 10 times more elaborate. Silly prop designers!

Tara: "It's nice to see you believe in god."
Alan: "Well, it's the law in this country now, isn't it?"
