Okay, so I'm a bit embaressed to post this, but since the description for this forum does read "Want to meet other people going to the same signing you're going to," I thought this would fit, more or less.

I'm actually interested in meeting someone who wentto the same reading I went to. She was wearing a Bearmonster t-shirt from the webcomic Questionable Content, and had long dark hair. I was sitting behind her, wearing a dark button up shirt and had a ponytail.

We just exchanged a few words about her shirt . . . I really wanted to flirt a bit, but I was there with a friend, and thought it would have been rude to her . . . plus I got unexpectedly shy.

Of course as we're leaving that evening, my friend turns to me and says, "That lady with the pretty hair and the bear shirt seemed to be checking you out. You should have flirted with her!"

Sigh.

So anyhow, I'm just hoping that the lovely bearmonster-t-shirt-pretty-hair-lady (or one of her friends) reads these boards.

If you are out there, and you're reading this, I'd like to buy you a cup of tea some afternoon, perhaps at Au Coquelet.

tho it occured to me: don't forget to have him direct people to this thread. i would hate to be the cause of dozens of neilfans with "awwww, date me instead!" comments flooding the faq line. he doesn't need that.
