I think the best night would be Friday... then we'd have ALL weekend to recover!

I still vote for Friday. It may not get as crazy as it would later in the weekend, but would be a good icebreaker.

Okay, events planner side of my personality taking over for a second:

- We'll need someone to reserve the room on his or her credit card. This card will not be charged unless no one shows up to claim the room at all. However, the credit card of the person who gets the room key will have a hold put on it in an amount slightly in excess of the room cost.

-Friday works for me, and most people I've talked to are trying to come in on Thursday. The Con starts Friday, so most people I haven't talked to will probably be there by then, too. Recovery time would be a good thing.

-We may want to put out a donations cup so that people who aren't in on this thread can chip in, and to cover the cost of roomservice and internet porn, so the credit card holder doesn't get shafted.

-I will not be providing "Support." But I will chip in for the room. Or the porn. Or whatever.

I'm in also. I'll be coming in the same time as Jeff (not sure when that is yet; probably Friday morning). So I vote for Friday night also.

Friday's not a bad day to have it... but we'll have to schedule it for after the Guest Dinners/etc. in case anyone is going/gets picked/etc. for that.

It's not a bad idea. As for the room, I'm pretty sure we can reserve it on a room, and then pay cash for it once the night hits... as long as we cover enough for the cleanup/porn.

...come to think of it... Spectravision porn sucks. I'm sure, out of all of us, one of us has a kickass laptop with a big screen, a DVDRom, and loud speakers.
