We may need to come up with an alternate party plan. I've been in touch with the innkeeper about extending my room another night, and she mentioned that the hotel has shut down the idea of suite parties. She said that they're in contact with the hotel and she promised to get back to me on alternatives, but she didn't seem that hopeful.

Xine's been telling me about these skyway thingies. Can we just hijack one of the tunnel dohickies and have an impromptu party there? Wink

Perhaps native Minneapolitans could take a look at the hotel and see if there are any potential meeting places nearby?

Oh yes, she scored very highly on the entrance exam!

I dunno. One of the main selling points for me for the suite was byol. fundings = premium.

Problem with the Hard Rock is, it's noisy and hard to hear normally. Add in 20+ of us, and we won't be able to hear anything.

And it's 6 blocks away from the hotel, right? Not too bad, except it's REALLY FREAKIN' COLD

A little cold weather won't hurt anybody. I was born in Sacromento but have been toughing MN weather for years.

I've never been to Hard Rock Cafe.

When the place to gather gets decided. What time will the gathering be? I won't even be in town until after 6:00pm sometime.

There are tons of things in downtown. Hrmm.. are we looking for a bar/resturant, a bar, or just a resturant? How about rock bottom brewery or Brit's pub?... Is everyone that is going to be there 21?

It doesn't really get cold here until january, but for those that cannot deal with temps below 50, skyways are great things....

I'd hate messing up everyone's plans. if I'm the only under 21 person and you wanna do a pub thing, go for it.

nah, there are quite a few places where you could go with, within walking distance from the hotel. I just need to think about it for a while (and I'm pretty sure rock bottom would still work). That, and I wanted to see llama's reaction to the thought of us all invading her apt. for a night. heh

edin: and, aside from all of that, you are coming all the way from freaking isreal for this, we can't leave you out of anything.

There's also the option of renting a hotel room for a night -- smaller than a suite, yes, but cheaper too. And then you can party in a central location and not be bothered (because the hotel supposedly is only going to be watching suites (and I'm not sure I believe that necessarily)).

Just a thought.
