And the answer for all of you is more or less the same: I've heard a rumour that I may be going to sign copies of American Gods in Australia -- I've not heard this from the publisher directly, though, but from a bookstore in Australia who were told by the publisher that they would be bringing me in. For everywhere else, the answer is pretty much the same: No plans, and I would love to come.

I like seeing new bits of the world. I like meeting foreign publishers. I bet there are interesting things to eat in Singapore, for that matter. And there's a -- what, a crypt? a burial chamber? a memorial hall? -- in Oslo I want to go back to. And I've never been to Israel -- or South Africa.

But nobody's asked me to go.

If foreign publishers and conventions ask me to go places, mostly I will, if I get enough advance notice, and if I can. Usually I ask for a first or business class (or at the least, an easily upgradable) ticket, because I don't like spending ages in planes, and I like to be able to function when I get places.

If you want me to come to your country, your best bet is to write to the publisher, and to talk to bookshops, and the publishers will get in touch with my agent. If you've got a convention you want me to go to, then just get in touch with my agent, as many years as possible in advance.
