Just to put this situation into context, I work for a professional organization that convenes large meetings/conferences/conventions for its members and just released what we call the conference toolkit (with copies of keynote speeches, list of members present and council reports of what went on) last week.

Granted, all of these things had to be compiled basically from scratch, but the conference was in the beginning of June. And our staff is paid.

Sooooooooo, I'd like to be a kissass and thank everyone again for a fabulous time. I know exactly what you went through (I'll be doing it myself in February again) and hope everything settles soon.

ummmmmmmmmmm
yeah
getting caught up on my threads......
dont know what i thought this was going to be about.....maybe people saying how much they liked the books, and maybe numbers of how many support memberships were bought, and what i get is

god, lets see......
how to be tactful
::trying to think of something different than what walker said::
::realizes that walker has said everything already::

yeah
what walker said
and i can totally empathize with what the con organizers went through. a few years ago i held a fundraiser for rainn, which is something that i feel very passionatly about, and i organized the whole thing myself, from getting bands to come play, to paying $600 out of MY pocket for the rooms, to paying to get a decent pa system. all together, i raised $1600, with nothing kept out of pocket.
i was so stressed i got hives, and written up at work because i was so stressed and worried that no one would come. different stress then fg people, but similar in the anxiety department....
and i didnt ask for anything.....
i understand that people want the incentive to give, and the book is a great piece of art. but i think that you should be more focused on "i helped a great cause that i believe in" instead of "heres my money, wheres my book"
but thats just my opinion

“The 75 Delirians?”
“Umm… well, number 2 is off sick, 38 is suffering from a mild case of sanity, and 74 has

run off to the world of men to spread sparkly gigglepops to their drab civilization.”
“Is she nuts?”
“Oh yes, she scored very highly on the entrance exam”

If it's any help, let me just say that the books are beyond amazing. I didn't have time to do more than flip through it until I was on the plane home from FG, and it took my breath away. All that gorgeous artwork. All those great interviews. Wow. Just wow. I have never seen a program guide like it, and I can't imagine I ever will again.

Thank you to everyone who put together that beautiful book!

I just looked at the mailing envelope, and see that my copy was sent out March 26 via USPS Media Mail,so I must have received it at the beginning of April.

Does anyone know what happened to the leftover copies? I had heard they would go to the CBLDF, but I've never seen anything about them ever being available at their website.

The extras are definately with the CBLDF - they sell them at their convention booth, which always has items not available on their website

Email me your name and address, and I will send it on to the Woman in Charge, if she hasn't seen this. You definitely should have received your book by now.
