This is why I stay and watch.

Also, for some movies, it's nice to have a few minutes to absorb what you've just seen before plunging back into noise and bustle and breaking the spell.

i used to stay for the credits all the time, now it's just when i know there's going to be something at the end...it just seems people around here dont stay anymore for them so it becomes such a pain in the ass to try and watch them with a few hundred people shuffling like cows in an abattoir in front of you

This is what I tell people I go to the cinema with who don't want to stay and we aren't good enough friends to know that's what I like and think I'm weird for wanting to stay. I think they're weird for wanting to leave. It avoids arguments of the sort 'But the film's over', 'No it's not', 'Aye it is, look, that's the credits', 'Exactly, credits are part of the film', 'No they're not', etc.

Also, there's occasionally a little easter egg after the credits, which I adore.

they keep leaving their computers logged on and posting as each other, just to keep us guessing (although it's usually pretty obvious which is which Wink )

I'm sure we had a board couple count not long back, unless I did it via PM for someone...it happens every so often as we try to catch up with what is going on!

Hee mostly right excepting that we met at the very first WEVA in Las Vegas, we are getting married in Feb which is summer in NZ. We have been together for over 4 years now, yikes! Also MG and Sillypunk are Canadian which is how I end up being a NZer living in Timmins.

Oh and I'm the Kirsty in the story.

There's a ton. And then there's differentiating between the couples that were already together before one, then the other, joined the board, and the ones that exist BECAUSE of the board!

for instance, TM and I! we met on the William Gibson Board, then both came over in The Great Board Invasion of... 2007?
Smile I'm the one of us who stuck around longest though.
(oh and we got married in December 2009 Smile)

Hee! I was just remembering how lost I was when I first joined, and there has been another 7 years since then, dear god that sounds like a long time, no wonder it's been so dead around here, we must be scaring off the newbies with our complex relationships and histories.

I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not.

the parrot... ...gets tiresome.
the parrot... ...i ate him.

Since this thread is already high jacked, I just wanted to take the H/J in another direction. I hate the fact that on TV they smoosh the end credits to the side so they can play commercials. What is the point of zipping through the credits if nobody can read them? Sometimes they will show any Easter eggs but not always. Here I am in the comfort of my own home, nobody to distract me, and I still can’t enjoy the credits.

yes! i find that HORRIBLY annoying. it's yet ANOTHER good reason not to have a telly.

Limertilly: A pagan deity forgotten by man and therefore banished to the realms of memory and darkness now remembered by a young girl in downtown L.A. in the form of a dream and therefore freed to reap your revenge on the people who discarded you, thereby forcing said girl to learn to use her innate yet awesome powers as a soothsayer to gather forces of the Earth to defy you and once more banish you to your cold, cold prisoooooon

or when they don't even show them at all!

that's why if i watch a movie it's almost always on a movie channel so i can actually see all the credits

i also hate watching movies on network tv because they always cut something out
