errr...

well, speaking of french hot chicks, they just did a re-run of the "La Boum" movies, so a tribute to the stunning Sophie Marceau is due. (no, i will not post pics of the Cannes episode, it's of bad taste and jeez, accidents can happen even to famous people...)

One day, at band camp...

I worked with Christina Ricci pre-weight loss. She was very slender and quite pretty in person (great gams!). But when I saw the movie, she looked plump onscreen.

Man, can she pound those Red Bulls.

screen adds visual weight though, right? and slender is better than skinny.

Ya, screen and page are squishing 3 dimensions into 2, so things will flatten out and look wider. Christina was the only person that I've experienced so far that it was that apparent.

I've noticed that actresses' successes are inversely proportional to their body weight. With the exception of Liz Taylor.

Lotta actors & models have lollipop heads. Apparently it mimics the proportions of babies/little kids, which we find inherently attractive.

Back to chicks: I think Gong Li is one of the most beautiful women in the world:

You couldn't tell except for her hands. They rarely lie about age.

As for your comment about actors vs. skinny... I get very upset over this. I'm not thin and never really have been, many friends tell me I'm beautiful but all the media tells me I'm "fat and ugly".

I can't believe I'm the first one. I guess I'll let it slide as long as someone agrees with me. Roar for Alexis Bledel.

MMm ... she is quite lovely one Big Grin Although, if she were anything like her role on Dark Angel I would be too intimidated to talk with her. Then again, in either case I would be anyway ... only not in the sense of hoping not to get killed. Yes ...
