Good luck, Limer! Have fun!
I spent most of yesterday with the girl I met over OKC. We've been out a few times and I'm hopeful and optimistic that this may turn into something good. So hey, maybe this stuff actually works sometimes. ------ "Cynicism masquerades as wisdom, but it is the farthest thing from it. Because cynics don't learn anything. Because cynicism is a self-imposed blindness, a rejection of the world because we are afraid it will hurt us or disappoint us. Cynics always say no. But saying 'yes' begins things. Saying 'yes' is how things grow. Saying 'yes' leads to knowledge." ~Stephen Colbert |

be honest. Say you enjoyed hanging out as friends but you're not feeling that special spark.

yes, but what if i'm being too quick to judge and it was because we're still at that slightly awkward stage and he's actually perfect or whatever?
i don't want to write him off just yet, just in case. "Are you a princess? Then go on another date? If you think it was the surroundings, you could try some more intimate ones...
Anyway, why not another chance. Took me a whole year to be attracted to one guy, once. Depends on what you're like. __ The brickchewing, camera flaunting restroom saint formerly known as Babylon the Bride |

it does me too, but its kinda honest, too. When I met my ex girlfriend Zenia for the first time there was all kinds of sparks and we dated for several years. I've met a lot of girls since then and only a few have sparked that way, most of the time though I was to afraid to do anything about it. I've been on dates with girls who were nice and smart and funny and even kind of hot but nothing made me want to see them again, not really. Weird, but true. |

A bit high expectation to expect it all to go 'spark' on the get go though, surely? He was nervous as Limer said. I say give him another go, he'll likely take it as a huge compliment and feel a bit more confident.
"The other night I dreamed that King George VI was dead, and that Helen Hardinge had somehow or other got herself proclaimed Queen of England, and that I was detailed to go and tell her that it wouldn't do at all; and when I did this, all she said was, 'You see, I am really Queen Mary,' and I said, 'Oh very well' - words to that effect, and woke up. Last night I dreamed that Eisenhower came to stay with us, and he insisted on being put to sleep in the dog kennel, with a collar and chain about his neck." - Sir Alan Lascelles, 19 February 1980 |
