yuppers! I couldn't find it in my history because I was looking for "knitting" or "socks" and they've spelt it SOX. Roll Eyes

Now I just have to figure out if the pattern can be modified to knit in the round. um.

I did a quick google and trawled through the first three pages and can't find any socks pattern using the pattern that I intend to modify, so that's a good thing. Smile

thankee again Miz BeeZee!

*In a very calm, level voice*

You cock-sucking, mother-fucking petty, ludicrous travesty of a human being.

Stop hovering over me or I swear to god or whatever powers exist, I will walk out of here today -- right now -- and let you sit in the mess you created for yourself.

Nit-picking over trivialities is NOT effective supervision.

So fuck. off. You. Useless. Waste. of. Human. Space.

Thank you.

Christ, I need a new job. J left and so payroll got added to my ever growing list of responsabilities (which I did not get a raise for, by the way.) I'm already getting complaints from music teachers that their paychecks are wrong.

I don't want to do payroll! I suck at math and my brain can't handle numbers!

I don't get paid enough for the stupid job. I don't know how much longer I can stand this.

I want to go home and never come back here again!

I don't know exactly what's going on outside, I haven't peeped out the window, but I think some guys are doing work on the apartment building. Which is fine, I can't hear the work at all.

What I can hear is the fucking radio they put in the middle of the courtyard which is just at that muffled level of volume that I can constantly hear it and make out bits of melodies but can't quite make out any words, and more importantly, CAN'T TUNE IT OUT OF MY HEAD!

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

You are an Accomptant. You keep track of the King's accounts, which is a fairly simplish job: his current holdings is always A LOT, and his expected revenue is always MORE. 'Sgood ta be da King. As long as there isn't a peasant uprising, you're likely to keep your head. Also, you're the only one in the office who knows how to use an abbacus. (Or multiply.) (Or add.)

I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not.

I like that video. Big Grin

Actually, it was easy listening. I'm sure I heard a muffled top-40 recording of some Disney movie song in there somewhere.

(And it wasn't even "Gotta keep...one jump ahead of the breadline, one swing ahead of the sword, I steal only what I can't afford -- and that's everything!")

Well, this is my first post to this board and considering how much I enjoy reading what you all have to say and also that the-love-of-my-life is out on a date right now (clearly not with me) I would like to say;

FUCK, FRAKING, FUCKING, FUCK.

Nice to meet you all. Smile

My flat screen monitor spazzed! It showed only the top 1/3 of the screen. We're trying to see if it's still under warranty.

My oooooooold monitor is icky and rounded and painful to look at, BUT THIS DAMN THING STILL WORKS YEARS LATER!

ETA: It's still under warranty - woo! I have to ship it back. And the tech/phone person was really nice and I made her laugh. Smile
