that's just the point i was making. you can't KNOW. HIV doesn't always make itself known immediately. it can take many months for symptoms to appear, and even then they can easily be mistaken as simple ailments in the early stages of the infection. i'm not saying that you are a threat to future partners, i'm just saying that the blind belief that you are safe from HIV just because you *think* you have absolute honesty with a potential partner is reckless. and i'm not posting this as a personal attack on you, if anything it is out of concern for you, and anyone who might be reading this that holds the same belief. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ |

The difficulty is, people are... people. They are fallible. Someone with a reputation of being Mr or Ms Responsible might actually like to sweep any departures from this code of contact under the carpet and pretend they never happened. It's not unknown, or sadly even that unusual. Anyone here is free to trust or not to trust their past, current and future partners, or not as they please. But to say that gives them any kind of guarantee is just not true.
