I <3 the capital district. Truelly one of the most...interesting places in the US Smile

Really, it's pretty cool! As far as outdoor mecca's go, it's A) right next to all of Vermont, B) right next to the Aderondak Park, C) right next to the Finger Lakes, D) right next to the Catskills and the Gunks!

All of these regions have great hiking/kayaking/caving/climbing Smile

And let's not forget the Albany Flair. Lark Street is such a neat little area. And Bombers totally kicks ass Big Grin

I'll say it once and I'll say it loud:

I'm single and I'm drunk.

quote:
Go away from my window
Leave at your own chosen speed
I'm not the one you want, babe
I'm not the one you need

You say you're lookin' for someone
Who's never weak, but always strong
To protect you and defend you
Whether you are right or wrong

Someone to open each and every door...

But it ain't me, babe
No, no, no
It ain't me, babe
It ain't me you're lookin' for, babe

Go lightly from the ledge, babe
Go lightly on the ground
I'm not the one you want, babe
I'll only let you down

You say you're lookin' for someone
To promise never to part
Someone to close his eyes to you
Someone to close his heart

Someone to die for you and more...

But it ain't me, babe
No, no, no
It ain't me, babe
It ain't me you're lookin' for, babe

You say you're lookin' for someone
To pick you up each time you fall
To gather flowers constantly
And to come each time you call

And who'll love you for your life and nothing more...

But it ain't me, babe
No, no, no
It ain't me, babe
It ain't me you're lookin' for, babe

*refuses to pledge*

"The other night I dreamed that King George VI was dead, and that Helen Hardinge had somehow or other got herself proclaimed Queen of England, and that I was detailed to go and tell her that it wouldn't do at all; and when I did this, all she said was, 'You see, I am really Queen Mary,' and I said, 'Oh very well' - words to that effect, and woke up.

Last night I dreamed that Eisenhower came to stay with us, and he insisted on being put to sleep in the dog kennel, with a collar and chain about his neck."

I think it may be fun to look back at this thread later on and see who really kept the pledge, unwillingly or not.

I make no pledge though.
