I'm a big gaiman fan, but alas live in Israel so I have no way of getting his audio books locally. The price online is rather stiff but when you combine it with the shipping costs it just becomes impossible to get everything... so after getting several of them I'm still missing "Speaking In Tongues", "Telling Tales" and the children prose CD...
I was wondering if anyone could maybe help me out somehow with getting these readings..? i'm going to buy the eventually but it's killing me, knowing they're out there and not being able to listen to them...
i dunno. i think there's gotta be a cheaper way to send these than what the neilgaiman.net offers. and if it's possible to buy the files online for a reasonable price that's also an option obviously.
I did a quick search, and it seems you can buy the Neil Gaiman Audio Collection (the kids collection) as downloadable MP3s at www.itunes.com - No shipping!

I have an ipod so never tried exploring without it. Maybe some other kind soul will pipe in about music downloads (I still but physical discs for the most part myself, so am not that knowledgable about this stuff)

looks like it's also available on audible.com. I haven't seen any sign of the Dreamhaven discs (the guys that run the neilgaiman.net site published Speaking In Tongues, Telling Tales and W:CL) being available for download though

it seems to require that you download the software and register with the service. too bad. i have an iriver myself, and it requires nothing of me as it meshes perfectly into the file system (appearing as an additional drive, allowing simple drag & drop).
iTunes is a free download. does your iRiver let you mp4s? if so, then you could still buy the audiobooks from the iTunes music store. and if not...i bet there's someway to convert mp4s to mp3s...
lookit me, i'm postin! wheee!

It's that time of year again, folks. Next week Saturday I'll be deleting any Private Messages that have not been responded to after 1/1/2008. Copy/paste any ones you want to keep into your word processing program of choice. Our PM count is up to 10,000, and that's just too high for us to sustain. Remember, email was invented for a reason! Try using that to correspond with your fellow Boardians! It's KEEN!
