Hi,
I'm wondering whether there are any snippets of Gaiman available using a creative commons license. I am working on a creative writing pack including information on creative commons license for schools in South Australia. I know that Gaiman builds on folk and traditional public domain type yarns, tales and myths and wondered if he had thrown any morsels back into the pool. =) My aim is to put together a kind of pack which helps children to learn not just about copyright but about copyleft and creative writing released under licenses which enable them to interact and participate in building on modern mythologies. Thought it might be a good way to promote the wider body of Gaiman's work as well. Happy to chat to other folk who would be interested in participating too. Just finished reading the Anansi boys and thought this might be a good spot to ask. It seemed to me that building on creative commons and public domain resources is a tasty way to pass on Anansi bloodline =). Cheers from here lucychili |

Sorry, Lucy,
In a question Neil answered some time ago on his blog, with the pertinent bits in bold:
http://www.neilgaiman.com/journal/archive/2004_05_01_archive.html As far as I know, he hasn't participated in including his stuff with creative commons. But I'm not entirely sure. It might be worth investigating by asking him directly here : http://www.neilgaiman.com/faqs/askneil/formmailer _____________________________________________________________ "He's probably one of those people that thinks Elvis is dead." -- Agent Mulder |
