I picked up American Gods, at Barnes and Noble by chance. I'm not really big into reading and especially not fiction, but it caught my eye. It caught my eye so much, I also grabbed Good Omens, not even realizing the same name on the cover. Since I've read 4 of his books. The last two within 72 hours (I'm on vacation). I can't put the books down and when I finish I can't stop thinking about then. American Gods was one of the books where it was almost creepy. I seriously had to stop reading and wonder at times if the words and quotes and phrases didn't change when soeone else read it, because it seemed to involve (maybe indulge is a better word) very fresh recent stories and events in my life.
Now, I find out, he also does (or has done) graphic novels and comics...well, paint my face and call me a prostitute, because I do believe I am sold. |
