Hey all! I was just wondering, what is the meaning behind smoke and mirrors's "Chivalry"? I enjoyed reading it but I would just really like to get the whole picture of the story. Thanks!

Hello Pijon. It's been a while since I read it, but I remember it being a charming story and a fun fish out of water scenario. Was there something specific about the story you had a question about?

Oh, and if you ever get a chance, check out Neil reading it live sometime (it's on the special features of a Short Film about John Bolton).

I don't think it was meant to have a message so much, but more of a fun enjoyable short story to read. Maybe the meaning behind Chivalry is that you can find great treasures in the most unexpected and ungreat places.

and that treasure is defined by your personal relationship to the object. just because it's "a treasure" doesn't mean you're gonna value it, and it certainly doesn't mean that it will supercede the treasures you've accumulated from your own life and experiences"”which can also be intangible treasures in/of themselves.
