It's a shame that Terry Gilliam gave up on the Good Omens movie. I think he should pick it back up he's done that to other projects and I believe one of them was Time Bandits that he gave up on to do MP but soon expressied his creativity. I hope they have not entirely left it, it has a great plot line that is SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER to be on the big screen.

I'm not sure I'm following. He did do Time Bandits, and then did Holy Grail and a handful of other Monty Python projects, all well after the Monty Python TV series ended in 1974.

It is sort of bad that he left the Good Omens project (I thought he did that a while back - GMZoe?), but I'd rather he do that than due a half-assed job of it.

(It was awhile back. Neil last mentioned it last May here and by then it had already been dead awhile ...except for in the hearts of us eager fans)

I am curious though. Has anyone heard anything new on this project? Last I heard was "It's not dead yet",...

For some reason, I thought I read Gilliam planned on doing Good Omens and The Man Who Killed Don Quixote (again) after The Brothers Grimm made a ton of money at the box office. But since that didn't happen, it's anyone's guess.

watch the movie "lost in la mancha" to see into the challenges that face EVERY movie production.
It is about Terry Gilliam "giving up"

you think you can do this?

That was an interesting movie. Terry Gilliam made me very sad in that movie. Not because he gave up, but because of the way he seemed to abandon everyone else.

Oh, darn it. And I had the cast all picked out, too! Well, most of them. Here's just a few. Tell me what you guys think...

Aziraphale: Alan Rickman
Crowley: Johnny Depp
Shadwell: Peter Falk or Michael Gambon
Anathema: Keira Knightley or Natalie Portman
Hastur: Vinnie Jones

didnt neil recently say that the production company Gilliam was on that owned the rights to good omens went bankrupt and that the rights became null or something so terry prachet and neil gaiman sold it for some small british monotary sum. I think it was like the smallest ammount you can take 30% of to give to the agents. Something like that. In one of those videos he posted recently.

This has been in limbo for so long. I am so sad that no movie has come to fruitation. But if it saved it from some sucky version then I am ok with it but I would love to see it done.

Morphius I don't know I see Alan Rickman more as a Crowley personally.

Found this posting about Good Omens casting. Mostly speculation, but it looks like there is still hope for the movie.
