The way I see it they'll have to make a Crisis on Infinite Vertigo Earths to stop the contradictions

It would be a damned cool concept, though.

Nah... mainstream DCU editors need to make sure that the Vertigo stuff dosen't blatently contridict their stories.

I mean, Neil had to follow DC continuity rules with SANDMAN, and it didn't seriously hurt the story... i don't want every niggling detail to be the same, but there's so much overlap between the two that things should be basically in accord. The afterlives should be the same, any major interruption of The Dreaming should at least mention Neil and (this is my personal thing) when a major character dies, they should ask Neil to let Death show up.

That last one might bug people, but to me its just a sign of respect... next time DC kills a major char in a summer crossover, Didi should say "hey, sorry about that, nice job on Earth" or whatever.

Er, all of the above assumes the stories are well-written. I'd also like to see Batman call in John Constantine on supernatural stuff, but once again that's just me

There is an issue of Hellblazer by Ennis that corrects all of the contradictions that his run on the series would have caused, makes it fit both the basic dcu and the vertigo u.


Hal Jordan is the Spectre and had his own series as the spectre, he bacame the Spectre in the marginal mini DAy Of Judgement, which showed the Dcu's afterlife.

The JlA angel came from, "a different aspect of {the dcu} heaven." It wasn't connected to any notion of heaven seen anywhere else in the DCU.

John has Demon blood in his bloodstream. The demon Nergal had John beaten within an inch of his life and then gave him a blood transufusion in order to save his life.

I am something of a DC Continuity buff. Though some of the newer stuff confuses me.
