Just curious on that. I love the story a lot and adapted it into a two page screenplay. I also have some great visual ideas and good location/art ideas for it.

I want to get it online before Thanksgiving - for obvious holiday reasons. I won't be trying to make money off it or anything, just something to get my creative juices flowing.

So what do you guys think? Waste of time? Good idea?

Do you have the rights to adapt and film it? More than likely you don't. Harsh lesson in Film 101, one that often hits people, is that no matter your intention for the film to make money or not, Rights still matter.

I don't want to discourage you, but if you do make it, don't advertise it here, on the Authors own website. Unless you have the Rights.

Of course it is possible, if you contact Neil's agent (through the FAQ here), the rights may be available.

Adaptation is good practice though. I wish you every success.
