Hi,

Did anyone record the introduction to the Tales From The Crypt 13 Nights Of Fright film?

If so, please contact me.

Thanks.

There really wasn't one. They showed a bunch of clips of the movies that are going to be in the marathon, and the one clip saying "think of it as a baker's dozen of scary". The same intro as is running on the channel advertising the series. There is a little bit of a recap at the end.

I suspect the reason for that is that Neil's take on his own performance was correct; he was stiff in the first few program's worth of shooting. Fox probably thought the same thing, so they decided that they'd wait a few days until the footage is better (and people watch more on the weekends) to seriously showcase Neil. I think this goes with Fox's plan for this; the movie that they've really been pushing is "The Fly", and that's Friday night.

Craig,

There actually was an introduction. It was about 4 minutes long and it was aired right after the end credits of the previous movie and about 15-20 minutes before the film started.

I was watching it while scrambling to find the remote control. Unfortunately I only was able to record the last 40 second or so.

It showed Neil getting out of a coffin and he talked brielfly about Tales from the Crypt mentioning Joan Collins and Peter Cushing.

Damn and blast. How irritating. Hmm...well I guess we'll just have to put feelers out and see if we can locate someone who TiVo'ed it or something. I don't think it'd really be proper to ask Neil to post something to his blog to help people who didn't see it get together a distribute a copy.

Well, 'Tales is one of the films that will be shown on Haloween, so we'll get to see at least a different cut of that scene.

Thanks for the response and the info.

If you do find anyone who has a copy of the introduction PLEASE let me know. I have a few things that I can send you in exchange.

I also have been asking around to see if I can find someone who has the first introduction.

At any rate, I've learned my lesson and I will be prepared tonight.

Hi,

Okay, now that the 13 Nights Of Fright are officially over, I need to ask once again if someone has a recording of the ORIGINAL introduction to Tales From The Crypt. The introduction that was broadcast as part of the Halloween marathon was an alternate version and I am looking for the original version from the October 19th.

If anyone has this recoring, please let me know and I will gladly work out some sort of trade.

Thanks.

Rob

I, for one, intend to write to FMC and ask them to post it on their web site.

The only problem is that if they are posted up on the website the quality will be pretty bad.
