rigpig Member	Posted Hi gang - Happy Holidays Just noticed a book by Neil listed on Amazon and was curious if it was a graphic novel (like sandman) or a book? Anyone read it and care to rate it? I'm a big fan - have read neverwhere american gods and good omens. Thanks in advance.

Posted Hide Post Marvel 1602 was an 8 issue series that came out last year. This must be the collected hardbound you are looking at. Being a Marvel fan and loving history, I really enjoyed it. I have heard some say it's not Neil's best, but it's all good to me. It's a look at what Marvel's heroes and villains would have been like 400 years ago. Hope this helps. Mr. Gaiman's script is just beautiful and, well, it really brings you in. Even if you don't like the " men in tights " books, check this out. You may even want to check out the relaunched Thor in early 2005, N.G. helped pitch the plot. thanx. cacfan

Posted Hide Post I just ordered 1602 through Chapters. For some reason I thought it came out later this year...should arrive soon. Hooray. I just love the idea because a) its about comic book/super heros which I still love even though I can't buy comics anymore and b) that's the time period I study. In the past few days, we've been getting a *huge* amount of Notifications that are bouncing back to the mod email.
