Dear people on this board, Hi everyone! I'll introduce myself. My name is Martín, I'm from Montevideo, Uruguay and my mother tongue is spanish. Sorry for my poor english. I'll do my best! I just gotten into Neil Gaiman and I'm amazed by his work. I'm beginning to recollect everything I step uppon made by this man and my first reading of his work came after this book. I wanted to know opinions about this work and what do you think about the story? What do you think it is. I've been looking through the web for a plot analysis because at the end it takes a twist that I didn't see coming and I would love to see what other readers have in mind about it. I'm anxious to hear your replies! Regards. ![]()

There's a recurring theme throughout several of Neil's stories about archetypal characters being replaced by newer versions of themselves. Others coming along to embody that position, if you will. I suppose the less attractive (p.o.v.) roles must be tricked into it. Sort of like the characters they are. Omnia mutantur, nihil interit.
