Greetings

Have just joined this site to discover more about Neil Gaiman and his work, which I have greatly enjoyed over the years.

I saw Neverwhere when it was first broadcast and immediately adored it.

Recently my wonderful fiancé managed to pounce on a first edition of it in hardback printed by the BBC. I need some help as we can find out very little about it. Having googled its ISBN, we find a lot of references to it never having been on general sale. We now realise that this maybe our book find of the year (it was anyway as I let out a rather loud squeak of pleasure when he gave it to me - not a good thing in a crowded shopping mallBig Grin) as it is in immaculate condition and was purchased in a Charity shop.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks

I'm not entirely sure what your question is...

If you are looking for the hardback, try www.amazon.com.

the UK Neverwhere hardback was indeed released in bookstores, though it didn't have a huge print run. (If you're talking about pages like this from your google search, 'announced but not seen' simply means they got news that it was published but they never received a copy)
This first UK edition can get pricey, so you do have a good find in that respect. Also, the text has several different variations, and that edition is the original version, so it's very cool in that regard as well.

i don't get the question either.

"Are you a princess? I said & she said I'm much more than a princess, but you don't have a name for it yet here on earth."

-Brian Andreas

Limertilly: A pagan deity forgotten by man and therefore banished to the realms of memory and darkness now remembered by a young girl in downtown L.A. in the form of a dream and therefore freed to reap your revenge on the people who discarded you, thereby forcing said girl to learn to use her innate yet awesome powers as a soothsayer to gather forces of the Earth to defy you and once more banish you to your cold, cold prisoooooon

i really love Neverehere! i read it just right after i got back from London to Taiwan.(in fact, i read it in chinese, for my english was not good enough...but someday...!) i have been to those places! that really made me enjoy reading it for not only the story itself!

Memories are like the dark nights, which could be peered all the time---but the stars, which are shine enough to be cuont, remind one those about which should not be forgotten.
