I'm retracing my steps now, going back to read everything else written by Gaiman. I must confess, though, that I think Neverwhere will remain my favorite story of his.

quote: I know the feeling! :-) I've now read American Gods, Smoke and Mirrors, and Stardust. Oh, and Coraline, which I read before I ever read Neverwhere. I didn't enjoy any of them as well as I enjoyed Neverwhere, to tell you the truth. Then again, I am heavily into escapism at the moment, so perhaps that is coloring my perspective. ~SamanthaJ3~ (aka the Sheep Princess) |

I've just discovered this website and message board.
I've also read all of Neil's books and by far my favourite is Neverwhere. I live in London and ever since i read Neverwhere i've been looking out for ways to get down into London below. (Sounds pathetic i know). But London below would be far better than London above. |

i've just finished 'Neverwhere' and i think it's brilliant! beautifully written too. i couldn't stop reading it! and i loved the ending, just the way i wanted it to end(:
"What is this thing, anyway?" said the Dean, inspecting the implement in his hands. "It's called a shovel," said the Senior Wrangler. "I've seen the gardeners use them. You stick the sharp end in the ground. Then it gets a bit technical." |
