That was my favorite Image comic. Youngblood and WildCATS was all about TnA. The Maxx was just weird. The good kind. I never got a chance to see the tv version.

My favorite B&B episode occurred after the whole "Beavis can't say 'fire' anymore" thing. Beavis says "water, water water!...Somehow it's just not the same". And later, "Liar, liar, pants on...whoah". Daria, though it was on after I was in highschool, was totally about my high school life! Me and my friend Star, we were totally Daria and Jane. Which of us was which changed every day, but that's the existence we had. I never got into Ren and Stimpy, I thought they made B&B look like Pynchon. I only got to see one or two episodes of Pirates of Darkwater and wanted to see more but never could find it! There were lots of animated shows I at least kinda liked in the 90's but none of them instilled a feeling of rabid fandom quite like Batman: TAS. Watched it every day if I wasn't at work. __________________________ and when I said "hammer" I meant my..." - Captain Hammer "The orange of your mind tastes like sunshine" - Furious

There was a WildCATS TV show. It was... weak. ____________________________ Formerly known as: 男の子™ (or not, since no one can pronounce that). "Ecumenicism is the slippery slope that leads to becoming a Democrat." --Dweller in Darkness

It was very litterally the comic animated. I think only the first 13 issues though. http://www.hulu.com/search?query=the+maxx

I've just caught a view of the current Scooby Doo, and, yegads, the animation is utterly appalling. Even just a couple of years ago it was better than this. They look like they've given up and handed the lot over to a bunch of work experience students while they go and count their money. Kidlet, meanwhile, has understandably wandered off and is using a piece of cardboard (and the edge of the mattress as a fulcrum) to make his toy aeroplanes fly. *********************** "bring on the be-tentacled oppressors" - fluffyllama

I must have watched everything, at uni i used to go round to a friends house sat morning to watch cartoons. Reboot was ace, Hasn't been mentioned yet but i loved Botsmaster, i had a crush on Ziv Zoolander. I also watched Doug but I'm unsure why exactly, that and Arnold, were not great but i guess they killed time. Batman animated series and even batman of the future were fantastic. I seriously struggle with the crappy cartooning style that is popular now, it seems lazy to me. And a cartoon about a reality tv show is just fucking demented, who was the bright spark to come up with that idea? Total Drama Island can go jump in a lake.

"Total Drama Island" was a ripoff of "Drawn Together" which is horribly HORRIBLY wrong in so many ways. (like a train wreck, you can't stop watching) Has anyone mentioned Duckman? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Discordian Priestess, Keeper of the Golden Pine-Apple. When was the animation for Scooby Doo ever exemplary? For that matter, when was any Hannah-Barbera cartoon animated well? I remember watching it as a kid and snickering when they were in chase scenes and the background speeding by was clearly on a loop, because you'd see the same tree or house fly by 5 times... ego forceps ergo ego forceps **** "Chives?" "Yes, m'lud?" "Is that Ms Ephemera hovering over the croquet lawn?" "Indeed m'lud. She's marshalled all the haggle-dans. Missy-twigs and vale-nymphs from Claypole Woods. I think I was born just a little bit too late into the 90's to appreciate the series for the most part of it However... do Rupert the Bear and Pokemon count...? I apologise, I'm terrible at remembering timeframes... "Sir, I think you've gone mad with power." "Of course I have. Have you ever gone mad without power? It's boring, nobody listens to you!" Any one ever watched Angry Beavers? One show I liked but was disappointed in how they decided to end it was Mighty Max. They end it by having Max sort of reset all of the events of his adventures and end it with him starting right back at the beginning of the series. Great show, poor way to end it. --------~~~~~~~******* When Life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make Life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons! What the hell am I supposed to do with these!? Demand to see Life's manager! Make Life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? Oh, it was never exemplary, but the current offering is really, truly dire. *********************** "bring on the be-tentacled oppressors" - fluffyllama

A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, my favorite Scooby, came out in the nineties. I think it was great because it was such a celebration of the ridiculousness of the original show. The chase scenes often just became dance numbers and Velma carried a super computer in a small suitcase. The (it was great) Scott

Gargoyles is a great example of... greatness. Words fail to describe how much I love that show. The (I shouted in surprise so many times during that show) Scott

Pretty much all animated shows had one character created seemingly just as a sidekick. They were less intelligent than the rest and slightly comical. Snarf, Unicorn and Orko are classic examples. And we hate them. A lot. Bronx, on the other hand, is possibly my favourite character, and his standalone episode in the first season remains among my very favourites in all of TVdom. __________ AJGraeme "Why are there ghosts in the kitchen punching each other in the balls?" - Aidan, "Being Human" "Christianity has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and not tried." - G.K. Most of my favorites from the 90s have already been mentioned. I loved Big Guy and Rusty. It was at the end of the 90s. It ended with a cliffhanger. I hate that! DangerMouse ran from the 80s to the early 90s. Did anyone mention Gargoyles? Edit in - Yes Lan they did. ------------------------------ Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.

Big Guy and Rusty does exist as a comic. I don't know if the conclusion of that story arc is in there or not. That show had style. It was just dripping with it. I think most of it was probably lost on the little-kid Saturday morning audience. ____________________________ Formerly known as: 男の子™ (or not, since no one can pronounce that). I have that on DVD! It includes the pilot, which is very confusing, as the voices are wrong. *now has earworm* *********************** "bring on the be-tentacled oppressors" - fluffyllama
