domi - i love love love that you commented on yourself!
you did, right? man, i'm gonna have to go back and check now!

i will get projecting, i have the list all ready in excel now, but something to say generally to everyone before i get started:

i wish i knew you better. all of you. i know some of you better than others but i don't feel like i know any of you as well as i would like. i really missed the board while i was travelling, and i'm gutted that i missed weva last year and will be missing it again this year, but as of this moment i have no plans to run off and leave y'all, so, hopefully, our acquintance will only grow. *huge hugs* to the lot of you

it tends to die down in 3 to 4 weeks, but i'd make a start now even nibbling at it a little bit at a time.

it doesn't get locked until much later in the year when we have that many newbies it no longer makes sense.

Hi Hippie!
Yeah, like Smaugie says it's probably best to start as soon as inspiration hits.
Me i prefer to do mine in one go: as experience has taught me that posting *something* invariably leads to procrastination from doing the rest. However i'm an exception in this: most boardians do them in bits. Do join! Doesn't matter what you say, as long a it's something nice Smile

Munk: you're very welcome. The project is one of my fave boardie-events each year: and i'm chuffed to be hosting it.

Thanks for all the kind words Smile

"The other night I dreamed that King George VI was dead, and that Helen Hardinge had somehow or other got herself proclaimed Queen of England, and that I was detailed to go and tell her that it wouldn't do at all; and when I did this, all she said was, 'You see, I am really Queen Mary,' and I said, 'Oh very well' - words to that effect, and woke up.

Last night I dreamed that Eisenhower came to stay with us, and he insisted on being put to sleep in the dog kennel, with a collar and chain about his neck."

Bucephalus stole my idea! Bloody voles...

See, that's another problem with the Project - it takes me so long to come up with the right words that by the time I'm ready to post, someone else already said what I wanted to say.

You are a Player. There are no small parts, only small people, and we suspect that's due to malnutrition endemic to the period. Every night you're a different person, knave or king, man or woman, 875 roles in all. The ones the audience liked got you applause, and the ones they didn't got you pelted rotten vegetables. The theater is a harsh mistress, but you love her dearly. Plus, it beats working for a living!

'But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
'Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: 'we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.'
'How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice
'You must be' said the Cat 'or you wouldn't have come here'

I wrote this in my blog, about the project, thought I'd share.

It is, once again, The Project. Every year on the neil gaiman board we have what is called The Project, everybody says something nice about the people on the board and we all gush. Most people don't say anything about me, some do and it touches me deeply when they do. Someone, one year, who I hadn't conversed with much said, in my first Project, that i am A much better person than I believe. That really got to me. I often feel lonely and unnoticed and unappreciated. I do what I can to make things better for people and it is always someone in The Project, who lets me know that I do good.

I have to write my project post, but I don't really talk to many people there. There isn't enough arguing for me, ha, so many brilliant people and I love them all, but I don't know hardly any. I feel bad because I really want to let them know how they've all touched me, but can't find the words to define those I hardly know. Nobody has mentioned me yet, this year, but its only just begun. I really, really aught to post something.

I love reading the comments, even/especially when they aren't directed toward me -- everyone manages to be both funny AND sweet. My only problem is wanting to steal comments. I read someone like Domi's or smalltown's or silly punk's and think, "Dang it! Why didn't I think of that??!!" Smile I will start posting soon.

And MeanBatWoman, **big huge hugs** and thank you. I think what you said is kind of eerie in a fun way because I often think the same about your posts, in that I have often felt that I understand your frustrations and rants and laughs even though we are so different. Spooky, but cool!

this was posted in the wrong thread, its the comments thread for callouts.

so i think the best thing to be done is for sillypunk to go back in and edit the post and comment on the traveller. just because they are not on the list, doesn't mean you can't say anything.

there are one or two others not on the list that i'm going to comment on in my last post.
