In a thoroughly Adult move, I spent some Christmas money getting a double duvet for my double bed, plus grown-up, classy yet pretty bedding!

It's also going to stop me storing stuff in the half of the bed which was previously un-duveted Razz

Ooh, that's very pretty! I'd love a duvet but they're so expensive and it would pretty much only be me using it.

do you have blankets, then?

They might be cheaper here, as they're the 'normal' option. Mine was £95, but it was from John Lewis, hypo-allergenic, microfibre (so it's light but clumps a little like down, without being either from dead birds, or guaranteed to give me an asthma attack) four-seasons and 10-year guaranteed. There are ones around for a lot less!

You could always have a single one just on your side Razz

Currently on the bed:

1. Flannel sheets
2. Cotton blanket
3. Wool afghan
4. Quilt (full of some sort of synthetic material)
5. Husband

I also tend to sleep in sweatpants, sweater and socks, but I suffer from chronic weenieness when it comes to being cold.

I've stayed at places with blankets, and always find them too heavy for me, but that's what I'm used to.

I really enjoy the heaviness of blankets. They're very snug and easy to burrow into when it's cold.

Yay! Congratulations.

I got a warm and comfy single duvet (for kidlet sleepovers) for £8 from Marks & Spencer. It's made from recycled plastic bottles, but is lovely ans squishy and cuddly despite this.

I thought of and made something for my sister's birthday, with a record short time of: 9 days to go!

I got beads and made her a necklace, and there were ones left so I made a bracelet she'll probably never wear. There were also cool lizard and cute spider charms, so I made her two pairs of earrings, too! And I'm making her cupcakes with home-made white chocolate decorations!

I'm SO relieved. Stupid birthdays soon after Christmas.

I did all the dishes from the past three days, swept the whole apartment, folded all the laundry and put it away, bathed Molly and myself, got Molly to sleep, cleaned the bathroom, got dressed AND did my makeup (!!!), and it's not even noon yet. Big Grin

(Miss Minibot was in a growth spurt all week long which meant I got no chores done hardly at all. The apartment was missing the love...)
