*bows head* I'm sorry...

The NY Daily News did a huge wraparound spread about John Gotti... and big stories about his funeral. It annoyed some people, and I wondered why they did it...

Don't know if he'll be ok with this or not, so GMZoe, delete this if you think I should, but Grandlethal just lost his brother. There's a thread.

Weird and spooky...

Back to work tonight, there are EMTs and an abulance in the parking lot. A 67 year old man from North Dakota had a heart attack and died in the elevator of the building. First death in a local hotel here since about `95 when a 26 year old Korean gentleman died of what was actually ruled to be Nightmare Death Syndrome by his family doctor.

The weird thing is (if that's not weird enough), I met a young lady this afternoon who could easily have been Didi/Death. Cute as hell and complete with silver ankh (and a Giamn fan, of course). Now, the spooky thing will be, if she doesn't show up for the coffee-breakfast date in about four hours, then I'll muse darkly about having another brush with the Endless (like being introduced to Cinnamon years ago before I ever read Gaiman).

All other things aside, I'm going to go light a candle and invoke a prayer for this deceased gentleman's spirit and surviving family. And all thing considered, dying of a heart attack outside Yellowstone Park is not the worst way one could leave this world...

It's strange that no one who attempted to revive him, no one at the hotel, could tell me his name.

He will be missed by someone.

I just heard it on Headline News. He supposedly died in Las Vegas (where The Who was about the start their new tour), when he was found dead earlier today. The cause of death is yet unknown. He was only 57. I'm sure it's all over the place by now.

I do not look forward to going to Boston in the next week or so... it'll probably be in a huge state of mourning... *sigh* He was a great ballplayer, and he served his country, and.. wel.. *takes off his hat* rest in peace.
