The Boyâ„¢'s grandmother passed away this morning.

She's in a better place now.

The 75 Delirians?
Umm well, number 2 is off sick, 38 is suffering from a mild case of sanity, and 74 has

run off to the world of men to spread sparkly gigglepops to their drab civilization.
Is she nuts?
Oh yes, she scored very highly on the entrance exam!

We lost our baby. We'd only known about it since Saturday, and the doctors say that it was likely either a tubal pregnancy (which is potentially fatal) or the result of a burst cyst in the ovary (also potentially fatal). In the end, we have one very live and snuggly kiddo and two live parents, which is all right, but, damn, it hurts.

My sincere sympathy, Dweller. And to your dearly loved wife. Take time to heal and allow yourself to be sad. (I've been through this 3 times; it's never easy. And yes, the healthy wonderful kids help the pain, but it still hurts. For a while. And it took me a couple of months to physically recover -- I thought it would be quicker and so was blindsided by the physical recovery time -- so tell your wife to take it easy for a few weeks.)

love,
grace

(them) --end them...LINE! (to prompt, to correct; no more; and by a correction to say we end the heart-ache of a really terrible performance) You didn't have to give me the whole thing! I know it!

I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not.

It hurts, indeed. And it haunts.

Unfortunately, I know exactly what you're going through, so I know that moving on can be a damned hard thing.

I can't but quoting what Alaura said when I was in your position.
quote:
Alaura said:

...how brave of you to share this with us, and by sharing your grief, you celebrate how your child has forever touched your life. She may not have lived long enough to have met you, but her presence was strong enough to make a difference---by your sharing your experience with us, we have been changed for the better as well. What a gift your daughter was to the world. Thank you.

It doesn't make it any easier but, damn, it did help me, so I hope it helps you somehow.
