Northwestern Head Coach of Football, Randy Walker, at age 52, from a heart attack.

This one really stunned me. I didn't know a lot about him personally outside of his head coach role, but he always seemed like a great guy. He wasn't a screamer, but he wasn't of the stone-faced Landry mould. He just seemed to keep things in perspective, never seeming to push the kids too hard, but never giving up on them. His teams were usually competitive and just as usually fun to watch.

I had a lot of respect for him. And it's just a shame his life was cut short.

My friend's dad died... Went to the wake today... Open casket, that was kind of creepy.

Kenneth Lay.

It feels odd, reading about his death. I don't really believe in god, or any sort of heavenly justice (there's a word I'm forgetting) but I guess I can only hope there is one for him.

Syd Barrett?-Pink Floyd

I would have thought he would have died along time ago, based on the drug abuse and mental illness. Very sad Frown

And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

My mom and dad's cat, Patches, died this morning. She was young, only a few years old, and got some crazy unknown virus that affected her heart and lungs. She wasn't well for a few weeks, but had seemed to be on an upswing until Sunday. This morning she woke my mom up, rub up on her a few times, wouldn't eat or drink, didn't want brushed, jumped up on the bed, curled up and gasped twice and passed. Frown She was a youngin' and the sweetest disposition for a cat. She was such a doll. My folks are torn up, and Sammy, the boycat, he's not sure what to do.

So sorry to hear about your cat. I hate it when things that we love die. I remember a few years ago I had a kitten, roughly 1 year old. One day I was moving a large piece of wood and it fell out of my hands and squashed the little kitten, killing it.
