I am rapidly finding that the only reasonable conclusion I can come to is that God hates Music.

OR...God likes music and has issued a recall.

Maybe that's why the REALLY gifted keep dying early, God looks down and says it's too good for you lot and collects.

“Death doesn't exist. It never did, it never will. But we've drawn so many pictures of it, so many years, trying to pin it down, comprehend it, we've got to thinking of it as an entity, strangely alive and greedy. All it is, however, is a stopped watch, a loss, an end, a darkness. Nothing.”

Good night, Ray Bradbury. Good night.

Ernest Borgnine, at the ripe age of 95. I was delighted to see his cameo as the records keeper in Red. Smile

I wasn't precisely sad to hear about Borgnine's death. After so many truly tragic deaths in the word of celebrities and my family in the past while, this one felt . . . right, somehow. Like the closing of a book at right time.

Herbert Vogel, unlikely art collector and benefactor of National Gallery, dies at 89 - The Washington Post

Really remarkable guy. That he had the eye to amass a collection like that on a postal workers salary is just incredible.

Tony, the husband of one of my dearest friends. Drowned in a lake on Tuesday during an afternoon swim (something he's done countless times before). They found his body this morning. He leaves behind one of the most beautiful people I know, and their three boys (10yrs and younger). My heart aches, my head hurts from trying to push back the thoughts and tears, and I can't help but keep thinking about the randomness of it all.
