Probably been done before, nothing in search. Anyway. I seem to have found mine. She walks fast, she's kinda mean, she's smart, and very not-helpless. And dood, she played Vagrant Story! *asplodes*

A million-to-one shot. Take that, Murphy's Law!

Ok really, I'm just trying to get my head around it. She reads my blogs, and while I'm all for that, I'd like to try and get things straight in my head before I say the wrong thing and screw up... maybe the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Congratulations ZoneSeek!

Don't spend too much time worrying about saying wrong things -- holding back means you may end up not saying the right things either (and you can never tell what those might be 'til you see the reaction!)

Enjoy!

*edit: ah, BeeZ' - saying it more succinctly (and quickly) than I, yet again! rats. Big Grin*

That's a bit of a tall order, but I try to stay in the moment.

Scares me how deeply I could fall for her, and how far I've fallen already. I know she's into me too, but things go wrong, things fall apart, the center cannot hold.

Not to mention you're coming up on a critical test -- many couples fail as a result of missteps ... on Halloween! Razz

But then, it's a great excuse for 'a chocolate moment' -- try not to go overboard on the edible body paints though .. at least, not yet.

Besides, it can be chilly in October.

Knock it off. Stop focusing on "things go wrong".

Things go very right too, and you wouldn't want to miss the good by anticipating the (possible? maybe? who the hell knows?) bad, would you? Razz

ETA: What duncan said (although I don't know how chilly Manila is in October).
You could always pretend it's chilly.

I have a costume idea already, though I want it to be a surprise. Or maybe I should enlist her help, a project together.

Gah, I am too old for this Romeo and Juliet stuff! Why can't I be calm and sensible about this!

Projects rule! You get to find out how each other's minds work. (and oddly enough, sometimes they have good ideas).

It's an excuse to go thrift shopping, or not, but just to spend extra time together ... and that's the main point, right?

Congrats, Zoneseek! Smile Like everyone else is saying, getting into a relationship is risky and leaves you vulnerable, but if you hold back, you'll lose out anyway, so don't worry about it. Be in the moment, enjoy your time together. Like Beezer said, love isn't sensible.

"Cynicism masquerades as wisdom, but it is the farthest thing from it. Because cynics don't learn anything. Because cynicism is a self-imposed blindness, a rejection of the world because we are afraid it will hurt us or disappoint us. Cynics always say no. But saying 'yes' begins things. Saying 'yes' is how things grow. Saying 'yes' leads to knowledge."

Yays and yippees! And if she blogs then she knows that sometimes stuff comes out that upon further consideration you don't mean quite the same way. So siding with the "don't over think it" party.
And adding in some yahoos!

it's also good to see you back at the Worlds End instead of hiding in other writers.

He began to think of people in a new light; how everyone's just little more than that frightened, fragile brain stem, surrounded by meat and physics, too terrified to recognize the sum of their parts, insulated in the shells of their skulls and lower-middle-class houses, afraid of change, afraid of decisions, afraid of pain, stuck in traffic, listening to terrible music.

Pretty much the same here, grey.

And as others have said, don't overthink it. If you're soulmates, then the you that you are is enough - making yourself into the you that you want her to see might do nothing more than piss her off. It's a form of deception, really.

We went to a fleamarket a couple of days ago. She hands me her bag to hold while she tries something, and holy crap! She's tiny and her bag's like a dumbbell, maybe 10 pounds.

That's like 6 dates in 8 days, and she's the one who said we should go out the last 2 times. Bit of a whirlwind.
